Jill Harley Dunham
Jill is Co-Managing Editor for In Scripto. She currently is wrapping up her dissertation work in the Molecular and Systems Pharmacology Department. Her research focuses on receptor trafficking and Parkinson’s disease. She currently also is working as a freelance writer, and has also done a lot of work with the Georgia Department of Economic Development in preparation for the International BIO 2009 conference held in Atlanta, GA in May.

Kathryn (Freel) Knoop
Kathryn is a third year graduate student in the Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis program and is doing thesis research in Dr. Ifor Williams' lab. She is currently studying mechanisms of pathogen uptake within the gut, focusing on M cells and how they develop. Kathryn has always had an interest in journalism, and is excited to be on In Scripto's founding editorial board.

Lisa Gargano

Lydia Morris
Lydia is the photographer for In Scripto and a 4th year student in the Genetics and Molecular Biology PhD program at Emory. As an undergraduate, Lydia did some feature writing for the University of Iowa publication Content Magazine. Aside from the many hours spent in lab, Lydia has focused her graduate studies on teaching undergraduate science from an active/interactive learning perspective. She hopes to find time to further pursue her interest in photography in the near future.

Alexander Poplawsky
Alexander is currently a graduate student in Neuroscience at Emory University and is now happily trudging through his fourth year on the road to his Ph.D. He was also the senior editor of The Central Sulcus, the Neuroscience program's quarterly newsletter, from September 2006 to February 2008 and is the author of its "Food for Thought" series that discusses how food affects brain function. Alex wishes to be a dedicated professor once he finishes his studies and hopes to continue writing science articles aimed toward the general public.
