The Emory Pre-Law Society Executive Board has finished the initial planning for the first two full months of the Fall 2004 Semester. There will be a Emory Pre-Law Society table at the annual club fair at McDonough Field which is near the DUC from 5PM-7PM. The fair is Thursday August 26th. There will be sign-up sheets at the table. The first general body meeting for the Pre-Law Society will take place on Wednesday September 8th from 7PM-8PM. There members can pay their dues and get a good introduction to the society. Topics will include a further preview of our events including community service opportunities, our member's discount with Kaplan, the website, and more. Pizza will be served! There will also be a Law Student Panel featuring students from Emory Law School on September 15th from 7PM-8PM. An LSAT practice session will be held on Sunday September 26th from 9AM-12PM. The session is for Pre-Law Society members only so dues need to be paid by then in order to be eligible. Finally, there will be a Law School and Public Policy Admissions Panel featuring admissions counselors from many Law Schools and Public Policy Programs. It will take place on October 13th which is the day after Fall Break ends. The final locations of the General Board Meeting, the Law Student Panel, the LSAT practice session, and the October Law School and Public Policy Panel will be determined hopefully within the next week. Those locations will be revealed on the Calendar as soon as they are finalized. The Pre-Law Society would also like to announce that by a unanimous vote the board has made James Tarter the Member-At-Large of the executive board for 2004-2005.
