15 April 2009As the last founding fathers of Alpha graduate, we are delighted to anounce our new EC to the Chapter! Congratulations to Tom Quigley, Dennis Jow, Scott Graham, Jared Gans, and Rishav Kohli, We are excited to be lead by such fine gentlemen!
24 March 2009With the initiation of our Zeta Class pledges right around the corner, Alpha Chapter has much to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. April 3rd - 5th will be a relaxing weekend in the sun for brothers attending our annnual formal in Charleston, South Carolina. Saturday, April 18th marks our 2nd annual Founder's Day Banquet. The event will be held at the gorgeous Emory Conference Center, and will include schmoozing, dinner, and speeches. Finally, on the weekend of April 24th, Alpha Chapter will have the honor of being a sponsor at the Atlanta Steeplechase. It has been an outstanding semester for Alpha this year, and we will look forward to these exciting upcoming events.

There are a couple who are on the verge of attaining their levels, so good luck on your quest to become closer to the fraternity. The new issue of the Annotated Alpha is out and uploaded to the newsletter section. 16 March 2008The website has finally formally been updated... With the amount of problems due to Emory's migration, we are happy to say that the website is back online. It seems to be that there has also been a quota placed on the capacity of the website, however, that is currently being contested. A series of "back updates" have been made to our news for a history as this new server had not the updates. Event photos are to come as I receive them. In lighter news, I hope everyone has had a wonderful Spring Holiday and wish everyone an ease at completing the rest of this semester. 2 March 2008The 5's Race begins today. The team with the fastest time completing all events, however divided, shall be the winner of today's race. We wish you good luck. 20 August 2007We are pleased to announce that the website of the Alpha Chapter of Kappa Sigma has finally been updated. It's been a long while, and we look forward to keeping you updated on what has happened and what is to come. April 22, 2006What an amazing day for both Kappa Sigma fraternity and the men of Alpha Chapter. At an early hour on April 22, 2006, we were called on to become brothers of Kappa Sigma and join the largest fraternity organization in the world. After just over a year of hard work, we surprised everyone with how quickly and efficiently we went from a group of friends to a colony, and finally to a chapter. After the installation ceremony, the banquet was a huge success. Four out of the five Supreme Executive Committee members attended, which is unprecedented. Andrew Foster told the story of how Alpha became a chapter, while WGM Donal L. "Pops" McClamrock, the keynote speaker, encouraged the chapter to continue to strive to be the best. April 8, 2006It's been a busy week for Kappa Sigma Alpha Colony. On Wednesday we teamed up with SDT to help out with their annual SDTwister. Our own Phil Gonzales won with a controversial decision by the judges, but we still love him. Last night the brothers of Park Lane hosted another awesome party. The Not So Virgin Islands theme was a great idea and the decorations were perfect. Check out the pictures. Next up we have installation in TWO WEEKS, so that's very exciting.

March 7, 2006Tonight we had an extremely successful Alumni dinner at Melton's, well planned by Brother Massen. There were about 9 Alumni there, including Worth Grand Master (WGM) Donal McClamroch, who was recently elected to the new Supreme Executive Committee. February 28, 2006Yesterday we dominated Quiz Bowl as part of Greek week only to get cheated out of winning by a bad bonus question. But our guys still did a great job and we earned some spirit points. Tonight is all row chapter, so don't forget! If you want to order a t-shirt (below), email the conference entitled "KS Shirts" with your size, number (optional), and name that will appear on the back (optional). It's going to cost about $10 but the price decreases as more people order.
February 23, 2006Good news! The SEC is voting on us tonight over a conference call at 9pm. By next week we will find out that we're an official chapter and when our installation will be.
