Like the major party leaders debating in Boston Tuesday, student representatives from Emory's political groups shook hands, schmoozed and debated their counterparts about campaign issues in the student political debates held in White Hall.
UA Parking Deck to open Monday for 'test run' after two month delay

More than two months behind schedule, the new University Apartments Parking Deck is scheduled to open for a "test run" for anyone with a valid Emory parking permit Monday.
Recent survey says residential colleges key to Emory's future

A new survey released Monday by the University's Committee on Traditions and Community Ties, recommended the implementation of a residential college system to help Emory's growth as a national institution on both an academic and social level.
Alcohol violations decrease according to EPD crime stats

Breaking with national trends, recent crime statistics published by Emory Police reported a decrease in alcohol violations last year. But some administrators said there is still alcohol abuse at Emory.
Jewish holidays continue this weekend, some students plan to skip class Monday

Many of Emory's Jewish students will be continuing High Holiday celebrations Sunday evening with Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement. Some said they plan to spend Monday praying and reflecting on the past year, missing class in the process.
Beer barfer boldly brags before being busted big by blue boys
A resident at Means Hall was found vomiting, possibly due to alcohol poisoning, Oct. 1 at 3 a.m. Officers said before they arrived he had been bragging about how he drank 25 beers. The case was turned over to Campus Life for investigation.

SGA fumes over space on DUC second floor

Despite the increasing need for student space in the Dobbs University Center, the Emory Bookstore relocated its accounting department to the second-floor Coca-Cola Commons office space recently vacated by the World Travel Partners travel agency this summer.
