Welcome Students!
The Student Government Association invites you to give us your input.
SGA is the University's student governing body. It is the umbrella organization that provides financial and general assistance to divisional councils (the internal student governing bodies for graduate, undergraduate, and professional schools) and advocates on behalf of student needs and concerns on a University-wide level. It functions based on the input of student representatives from all areas of the university who engage in discussions over the merits of proposed legislation in biweekly meetings.
The SGA is your student activity fee at work and it is to your advantage to follow the legislative calendar and speak with your school's SGA representatives and divisional presidents about current issues and potential topics to be introduced for discussion. Our University is made up a diverse group of intelligent and engaged individuals and the SGA works to ensure that their expectations for their Emory experience are met and hopefully surpassed.
We encourage you to get involved and make the most out of your time at Emory. Please contact any of the SGA Executive Cabinet members or Divisional Council Presidents for more information.
