I pledged LTA because I am Puerto Rican and Black, but have never fully fit in or been accepted as a Latina by others.  The first time I went to an event hosted by LTA I didn't feel as if anyone was judging me or making me feel as if I didn't belong.  I was accepted for who I was.  It was then that I knew LTA was for me.  I also loved the strong sense of love and sisterhood that I saw between the Sisters.  I had been to other minority Greek events and I didn't feel the same type of love among the Sisters.  There is a LOVE and RESPECT among Sisters of LTA that is so profound and deep that is projected even onto people who aren't Sisters.  That is why I pledged LTA.

I joined LTA because I wanted to be part of an organization that was true to their beliefs and values. I wanted to be part of a Sisterhood where the Sisters actually knew and cared about each other. I wanted to be part of LTA because I believe that it can help now and in the future.
